Alexey Kozlov has worked as a guitarist, and producer since 2008.
In 2012, Alexey began his studies at L.A. College of Music (LACM) in Pasadena, California, where he studied under renowned musicians including Tariqh Akoni (Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera), Jody Fisher, Bill Fowler, and Jerry Watts (Herbie Hancock, Sheryl Crow). After completing his studies at LACM, he worked with a variety of artists throughout the Los Angeles area as a session guitarist, producer, and live performer.
In 2016, Alexey earned his Master’s degree from the Cornell School of Contemporary Music (CSCM) in Los Angeles. There, he studied with distinguished educators and musicians including Abraham Laboriel, Allen Hinds, Otmaro Ruiz, Mauricio Guerrero, and Michael Bradford.
That same year, Alexey began working extensively as a music educator, teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Alongside his teaching career, he remained active as a guitarist, arranger, audio engineer, and music producer, contributing to a variety of recording and performance projects.
In 2019, Alexey began touring extensively throughout the United States, performing with multiple artists and covering nearly every region of the country. At the peak of his touring schedule, he performed more than 100 shows per year.
Today, Alexey focuses on studio production, audio engineering, and music education. As a versatile musician, producer, and engineer, he works confidently across a broad range of musical styles. His comprehensive understanding of both music and production enables him to guide projects through every stage of the creative process—from early demos and arrangements to recording, mixing, and final production.
As an educator, Alexey combines formal training with years of real-world professional experience to create an effective and results-driven learning environment. He believes that every student learns differently and tailors his teaching approach to each individual’s goals, helping students build strong technical skills, musical understanding, creativity, and confidence.
